Shafi Mondal 

Shafi completed his BS and MS in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of Dhaka. His doctoral research focuses on characterizing Aspergillus fumigatus genes and studying their interactions with other microbes and stressors in clinical settings. His broader scientific interests include molecular biology, microbiology, and emerging breakthroughs across these fields.

Passionate about bridging science and society, Shafi advocates for science communication that directly benefits communities. He strives to make scientific knowledge accessible to all, particularly in underrepresented regions.

Outside the lab, Shafi enjoys listening to music, watching documentaries, exploring new places, and meeting diverse people.
